This year the share-a-card scheme, whereby parishioners sign a collective card – instead of giving individual cards to other parishioners – and make a donation to charity, will support the Holistic Cancer Care Centre at James Cook University Hospital.

The Holistic Cancer Care Centre, which is situated within the grounds of James Cook University Hospital in a picturesque and peaceful setting and which is funded only by charitable donation and not by the NHS, provides a range of supportive therapies to complement the orthodox treatments of surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and hormone therapy. Trained practitioners provide these therapies free of charge.

Please support the scheme. It makes a real difference.
