St Clare of Assisi Parish

The Easter Triduum is the period of three days from Holy Thursday to Easter Sunday.

There are three main services during the Triduum;

• The Mass of the Lord’s Supper is celebrated on Holy Thursday at 7pm. This year Holy Thursday falls on April 1st.
• On Good Friday we have the Celebration of the Lord’s Passion at 3pm. Mass is not celebrated on Good Friday and the Holy Communion distributed at the Celebration of the Lord’s Passion is consecrated on Holy Thursday. This year Good Friday falls on 2nd April.
• On the evening of Holy Saturday at 7pm we will have the Easter Vigil, the most important occasion in the Christian year. This year Holy Saturday falls on 3rd April.

We will also have Mass on Easter Sunday morning at 9.30am.

Middlesbrough Diocesan Youth Mission Team is looking for volunteers aged 18+ to join the team in September 2010. This is an opportunity to live, work and pray in community and to work as part of a team serving the very many young people in our diocese. Continue reading

Dear Eucharistic Ministers,

I write to you to ask for your help. We are extremely short of volunteers to help distribute Holy Communion in the James Cook Hospital. If you could spare one day every two months, I would appreciate your help.

There will be a retiring collection for CAFOD’s Family Fast Day after Masses on the weekend of 6th and 7th March 2010.

Monday 15th March, 9.30am in the Parish Room.

Commencing on 19th February at St Clare’s, thereafter on 5th, 19th and 26th March in our Parish Room. Stations of The Cross will be at 12 o’clock in Church followed by shared soup.

On 26th February and 12th March there will be soup at St Margaret’s Church Hall following a short meditation led by Rev Ron Smith.

Proceeds will go to CAFOD’s work to help following the Haitian earthquake.

At 7pm on Monday evenings during Lent (except 8th March) there will be Stations of the Cross.
