The Knights of St Columba are collecting spectacles, frames and lenses which are no longer of use to you.
These items are used to assist people in the Third World who need spectacles but who are unable to afford them.
Please leave any of these you have spare at the church.

We now have 300 good books, many CTS booklets, some videos, cassettes and photograph albums. We have one bible (Youth) and a few copies of the four Gospels.
We would like a big Family Bible if anyone could spare one and any books on St Paul as it is the Pauline Year (July 2008-9).

As part of our celebration of the Pauline Year, the year of preparation for the 2,000th anniversary of the great missionary to the Gentiles, we have a number of prayer booklets available from the table at the back of church; only £2 each.

This year April 2007 to March 2008 parishioners donated £1719.30 (up from £1707 last year) through the Red Boxes.
There were an additional two donations direct to the charity amounting to £166.00
These figures do not include Gift Aid as the information is not available.

The Diocese of Middlesbrough wishes to appoint a ‘Celebrating Family’ Project Worker to promote awareness of the marriage and Family Life initiative ‘Celebrating Family’ throught the Diocese, and to facilitate workshops with parishes and groups based upon ‘Everybody’s Welcome’ and ‘home is a Holy Place’.
