I have had a brief meeting with pupils in Years 9 and 10 at Trinity College; preparation for this Sacrament will begin with a meeting on Tuesday 28th February at 7pm. This first meeting, to be held in St Clare’s Church, is for Parents and the Candidates for Confirmation.

Pupils who are in Years 9 or 10 are invited to join the programme.

The celebration of the Sacrament will take place on the 15th May, 6pm at St Francis’ Church.

Journey in Faith/RCIA

The Journey in Faith is part of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.

There are regular meetings for anyone interested in becoming a Roman Catholic, for those Catholics who wish to deepen their faith, in fact everyone is welcome.

Easter Joys!

After 40 days of Lent at last we come to the joy of celebrating Easter; congratulations to Amanda Burns, Lorna Rossi, Claire Luke and Sharron Lindberg Smith who were received into the Church at the Easter Vigil.

Please continue to keep them in your prayers as well as all who were baptised and received into the Church this weekend.

Many thanks to all who gave so generously of their time to prepare the Church for our Easter Celebrations and to all who took part in our Holy Week liturgies as we came together to celebrate our faith in the Risen Lord.

Bishop Terry will be celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation for the Middlesbrough Deanery on June 15th.

Any parishioner in Year 9 or above is invited to prepare for the Sacrament.
There will be a meeting at the Cathedral Hall on Wednesday 27th January at 7pm for all those who wish to be confirmed.

Parishioners who would like to help with the preparation are also invited to attend.

Confirmation Election Mass

[ Wednesday June 11, 2008; 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. ] On Sunday 11th May at our 9.30am Mass we will meet the candidates for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Please start to include these young people in your prayers. Confirmation will take place on June 11 at 6pm in St Francis’ Church (not the Cathedral).
