The Bishop has asked that all celebrations of the Easter Vigil begin after sunset in accordance with liturgical norms. This means that the Vigil will be celebrated in St Clare’s at 8pm on Holy Saturday.

The Harrogate Spring Flower Show 2012 takes place from 26th until 29th April. We have a parish outing to the show on Saturday 28th April. £22 per person (reduced tickets £13.50 instead of £16, plus coach £8.50).
The coach will leave the Blue Bell Hotel car park at 8.45am prompt and will depart from Harrogate at 4pm.

I have had a brief meeting with pupils in Years 9 and 10 at Trinity College; preparation for this Sacrament will begin with a meeting on Tuesday 28th February at 7pm. This first meeting, to be held in St Clare’s Church, is for Parents and the Candidates for Confirmation.
Pupils who are in Years 9 or 10 are invited to join the programme.

As many people are probably aware, next year’s Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes is to be slightly different to previous years as we will not be utilising the Acceuil (neither a hotel nor a hospital, the Acceuil is exclusively reserved for the sick and disabled pilgrims as well as those who accompany them). Instead we will be caring for our VIPs (sick pilgrims) in the Hotel Padoue.

More volunteers would be very welcome to join the Music Group. Its aim is to lead the singing of the parts of the Mass which the Church has always encouraged the congregation to sing, e.g. the Gloria, Sanctus, Responsorial Psalm, Gospel Acclamation and other responses.
Practices take place on Sunday from 9 until 9.20am.

Barclays Charities Aid Foundation have sent a donation to match the funds raised by the Tombola at the Summer Fair; this adds a additional £433 to the fund.
A further donation of £200 has also been received so the fund now stands at £4644.22. Many thanks!

Imperishable food and toiletries may be placed in the box in the church porch, and will be taken to Sylvan House to be distributed to the Asylum Seekers who have no support.
Other goods and clothes can be taken to the Avenue Methodist Church (side door) any Wednesday morning after 10.00am. Please do not leave these in the church.
