There will be a retiring collection for CAFOD’s Family Fast Day after Masses on the weekend of 6th and 7th March 2010.

Bishop Terry will be celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation for the Middlesbrough Deanery on June 15th.

Any parishioner in Year 9 or above is invited to prepare for the Sacrament.
There will be a meeting at the Cathedral Hall on Wednesday 27th January at 7pm for all those who wish to be confirmed.

Parishioners who would like to help with the preparation are also invited to attend.

First Holy Communion

The First Holy Communion programme begins in January 2010.

There will be a meeting for the parents in St Clare’s School on Wednesday 20th January at 7pm.

The 9.30am Mass on Sunday 24th January will be a Mass of Welcome and Enrolment for the children.

Please keep them in your prayers during this special year.

Ascent Meeting

The Ascent group, which aims to encourage spirituality, friendship and mission amongst men and women who have reached the time of retirement from more active life, meets regularly in the Parish Room.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday 5th January at 9.30am (ie. after morning Mass).

St Nicholas Fayre in York
