Holy Hour for the Papal Visit

On Wednesday 15th September there will be a Holy Hour (6.30-7.30pm) in St Clare’s Church asking God’s blessing on the Papal Visit that it will be a time of renewal for the Church in our country.

Pope Benedict arrives on 16th September to begin his State Visit.

On 17th September children from St Clare’s School will be among children from all over England and Wales who are taking part in ‘The Big Assembly’ at Strawberry Hill and some parishioners will be travelling to Birmingham for the Beatification Mass for John Henry Newman.

Pilgrimage to Cumbria for Our Lady’s Birthday

The Annual Pilgrimage to Cleator, Cumbria in honour of Our Lady’s birthday (8th September) will take place this year on Saturday 5th September.

There will be a coach trip as usual from St Gabriel’s, the cost of which is expected to be £12.

This coach will pick up at the Blue Bell Hotel car park at 9.45am.

If you would like to travel to the Papal Mass on September 19th at Cofton Park please enter your name on the list in the Church Porch by next Sunday (1st August 2010).

The cost of £25.00 includes return coach travel to Birmingham.
