On the weekend of 3rd and 4th September we will welcome a visiting sister from the Convent of St Elisabeth the New Martyr in Belarus. She will give a presentation on the history and service of their community aimed at helping the patients of the local psychiatric hospital, children without parental support and sufferers from drug and alcohol dependence.

A stall will be arranged to sell products made at the convent;

Proceeds will help the Convent’s construction and its charitable work.

How you can join in MYMission

During the week of the MYMission to Trinity College parishioners are invited to come to the Mission Mass at 8am (at the Hall Drive site, except for Wednesday at the Saltersgill Avenue site).

From 8.30am-2.30pm each day there will be Adoration in the College Chapel. On Tuesday St Clare’s parishioners (and others) are asked to be guardians of the Blessed Sacrament.

If you would like to be a guardian please sign the list at the back of church.

Of course, parishioners are welcome to join the Mass or Adoration on any day of the mission.

MYMission Trinity Catholic College

March 21 – 25 sees the MYMission Team working closely with our friends at Trinity Catholic College in Middlesbrough.

As the Mission takes place in the season of Lent we will be contemplating what it means to make a sacrifice. Of course, there is no better example of sacrifice than the one that Jesus himself made on the Cross. So we will be looking forward to Easter and seeing what the Passion of Our Lord can teach us.

We cannot contemplate the Cross of Jesus alone. It can only really be understood in the light of the last supper, and so we will spend time exploring what the Eucharist means to us. Part of our plans for the Mission include a celebration of the Eucharist for the whole school.

The Journey in Faith is part of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.

There are regular meetings for anyone interested in becoming a Roman Catholic, for those Catholics who wish to deepen their faith, in fact everyone is welcome.

Details of meetings are given below
