The foods brought in for the Harvest Celebration in St Clare’s School have been very kindly donated to the Mary Thompson Fund, which supports refugees and asylum seekers in the Tees Valley many of whom receive no other support. Continue reading

Mark Raine will be running in the Great North Run on Sunday 20th September in aid of Motor Neurone Disease.
If you would like to sponsor him he would be grateful if you could add your name on the sponsor form at the back of church or see Maureen Raine.
The fund provides packs of food and toiletries to refused asylum seekers who are homeless and destitute. If you have tinned food (especially tomatoes, fish, corned beef, chick peas, etc.), packets of pulses, sugar, tea bags, or powdered milk (and especially rice), bottles or jars of coffee or cooking oil, or toiletries (especially toothpaste, soap, shampoo, razors, shaving foam, deodorant, or sanitary towels) or items such as baby wipes and disposable nappies for children’s needs please drop items off at Brian Dowd’s home or give these to any member of the Justice and Peace group.
