Sea Sunday 2011

Sunday 10th July is the day of prayer for Seafarers and their families. There will be a retiring collection to support the work of the Apostleship of the Sea at all Masses on the weekend of 9th/10th July 2011.

Can you help?

Empty shoeboxes are required in order to make Christmas boxes for the seafarers who visit Tees dock bringing goods from all around the world. Many seafarers find themselves far from home and loved ones at Christmas; we would like to help the Apostleship of the Sea in their pastoral care for seafarers.

Sea Sunday is the day the Church remembers the important work that seafarers do. Across the world, congregations gather to thank God for seafarers, their families and the work that The Apostleship of the Sea does in supporting this most dangerous and perilous way of life.
