To all the parishioners who bought a space for me to play at the Riverside on Monday. I hope I don’t pull any muscles and score a wonder goal. Everyone is welcome to come down to the Riverside and support this charity football game.

[ Monday May 12, 2008; 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. ] Thanks to the generosity of the people of our parish a bid of £355 was made to enable Fr John Paul to play football at the Riverside. Congratulations to Phil Luke who will also be playing.

Fr Paul Farrer, for reasons which escape mere humans and all other gravity-constrained species, intends to bungy(bungee?)-jump off the Transporter Bridge in June.

40@40 - Play Football at the Riverside Stadium

In October this year Fr Paul Farrer will be 40. To mark the occasion Father Paul is trying to raise £40,000 for charities close to his heart.
These are:

The Children’s Cancer Hospital in Baghdad
Teesside Hospice
Middlesbrough Diocesan Lourdes Fund
Zoe’s Place
The Ellen Timney Foundation, and
Monica Wordsworth

Obviously it will take a long time to raise so much money so [...]
