Canon Alan Sheridan and myself are planning a pilgrimage to Rome, Assisi and Palazzola next year.
Rome - the eternal city - is home to the Vatican, glorious ancient Roman monuments such as the Colosseum, the Pantheon and the Forum, and much, much more.
Assisi, a World Heritage Site, is a very beautiful hilltop town and was home to St Francis, St Clare and other saints.
Villa Palazzola, in the Alban Hills is the retreat-house of the English College. The house is an old Cistercian monastery with stunning views across the lake to Castel Gandolfo, where the Pope has his summer residence.
Our estimated cost is £1,050 including flights, transfers, hotel bed and breakfast and evening meals.
We will have 40 places on offer.
