This First Sunday of Advent marks the beginning of a New Year in the life of the Church, it is a season of joyful hope as we look forward to not only celebrating the birth of Christ our Saviour on Christmas Day but also preparing for his second coming in glory.
The Scriptures in the coming weeks remind us of the call of God to prepare the way for the Lord by repenting of our sins and placing our trust in His mercy and love.
